Surveillance Phase Two Finds 30 Positive Cases Of COVID-19 In 5 Schools In Solo

SOLO - The implementation of the second phase of surveillance or observation of face-to-face learning activities (PTM) in Solo City has so far found 30 positive cases of COVID-19.

"The surveillance continued, and yesterday we still found a total of 30, from the beginning to the development of tracing, if you want to see the progress is good because compared to the first stage it is smaller," said Secretary of the Surakarta City Education Office Dwi Aryatno in Solo quoted by Antara, Monday, November 29 .

He said that the difference between the first and second stages of surveillance was that this time, the tested schools had to carry out temporary distance learning (PJJ).

"For those who are tested, they must first take the PJJ so that if the tracing is found to be positive, then the interaction is maintained. When compared to the one-time stage, this is much less," he said.

A total of 30 cases were found in three elementary schools and 2 junior high schools. He said the five schools were SDN Cinderejo Lor, SDN Beskalan, SDN Semanggi Kidul, SMPN 6, and SMP Muhammadiyah 7.

However, according to Dwi, the surveillance is still ongoing.

"Similar to the first stage, this time the surveillance was carried out in 16 elementary schools and seven junior high schools. If the current position is the same with the number of groups or the number of schools is the same, only the number found is less. Compared to yesterday the number has decreased," said Dwi.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, ensures that the surveillance data is delivered openly.

"What is clear is that we do not cover the data. Children are indeed more at risk because they have not been vaccinated. If someone gets sick, it is my responsibility.
