BULELENG - After serving 7 months in prison, Danish Caucasian Lars Christensen was released from the Singaraja Class IIB Prison, Buleleng, Bali.

Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkum HAM) Bali, Jamaruli Manihuruk said his party ordered the head of the Singaraja Immigration office to pick him up from prison.

"Foreigners who have finished serving their sentences will be placed in the Immigration Detention Center to await deportation," said Jamaruli in a written statement, Friday, November 26.

Meanwhile, Head of Class IIB Singaraja Prison, Buleleng, Bali, Mut Zaini said the foreign national was stumbled upon a blasphemy case and sentenced to 7 months in prison.

"This foreigner is from Denmark with a criminal case that ensnares Article 156 A of the Criminal Code related to blasphemy with a sentence of 7 months in prison," he said.

Zaini said that his party had coordinated with the Singaraja Immigration Office (Kanim) regarding the release of Danish Caucasians.

"This foreign citizen, after being released from his sentence and all administration has been fulfilled, of course, will be handed over to Kanim Singaraja for further processing," he said.
