Banyumas Prepares GOR Satria As A Quarantine Place For Residents Who Go Home During Christmas-New Year

BANYUMAS - The Banyumas Regency Government, Central Java has prepared a quarantine area to anticipate the possibility of residents going home during the 2021 Christmas and 2022 New Year periods.

"We have prepared the Satria GOR (Gelanggang Olah Raga), there are three places there. The total capacity is 1,500 beds," said Banyumas Regent Achmad Husein in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Antara, Friday, November 26.

Regarding the plan to activate the quarantine place, his party will first close it with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkompimda) of Banyumas Regency on Wednesday next week.

Thus, he said, the mechanism for managing the quarantine place will be known after a meeting with the Forkompimda of Banyumas Regency.

"About the same as before (during Lebaran 2021, ed.). As soon as there are residents who go home, report, then they are taken, and taken to the quarantine area," he said.

His party will follow all provisions in the application of level 3 community activity restrictions (PPKM) implemented by the central government throughout Indonesia during the period of Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022, namely December 24, 2021 to January 2, 2022.

Therefore, he said, all tourist attractions in Banyumas Regency should not be opened during the PPKM level 3.

"We are in accordance with the rules that apply at PPKM level 3. Why bother making your own rules," he said.

It will not modify or add to the rules because it will inconvenience the public. "In accordance with the rules determined by the central government," he said.
