A Woman In Puncak Bogor Stuck In Tree When Paragliding

CISARUA - A female paragliding pilot named Ayu was caught in a tree when she was about to land at the Puncak Paragliding Landing area, Cisarua, Bogor Regency, West Java.

"I was surprised because there was an unusual wind, so the pilot was in the wrong position. Safety has to be prioritized, this is only because of the weather," said one of the Paragliding Instructors, Gendon at the location quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 25.

Ayu, who is still a school student, was found to be caught in a tree at around 10.00 western Indonesia time, and was successfully evacuated by members of the Bogor Regency Fire Department at around 12.00 western Indonesia time.

Gendon said that Ayu was caught in a tree because when she was about to enter the landing point there was a slightly different direction of wind. So, when the pilot was about to take a landing position, it changed from usual.

Meanwhile, the Gunung Mas Landing Coordinator, Saeful, explained that Ayu was suddenly hit by strong winds when she was about to land.

It was known, when Saeful communicated via radio communication with the pilot. He also had time to direct the pilot to turn right because the wind was unstable.

"But I was told to turn right because the wind was bad, the wind was a bit big from the right, it might be difficult to turn, because if this paraglider wants to enter the landing, it depends on the wind, it may be carried away by the wind, the turn is not fast, so it's a bit slow, from the radio hold right," said Saeful.

When interviewed, Ayu admitted that she was shocked by what had happened for the first time. The reason is, Ayu is listed as a paragliding pilot who has flown almost 70 times.

"I've flown everywhere dozens of times, but this time the wind is a bit different," said Ayu.
