JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has opened his voice regarding the plan for the 212 Reunion to be held by the Alumni Brotherhood (PA) 212 at the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Central Jakarta.

Anies said that his party was still discussing the permit for the gathering.

"(Licensing for the 212 Reunion) is still being discussed," said Anies at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta.

Previously, PA 212 planned to hold a 212 reunion on December 2, 2021. However, this activity was not held at the National Monument (Monas). Secretary General of PA 212 Novel Bamukmin said the plan was that the 212 Reunion would be held at the Horse Statue which is right next to Monas.

"The plan is to hold it at the Horse Statue," Novel Bamukmin said in a short message to VOI. "Everything is still in the brewing process. Later when it is fixed, we will send the official release," said Novel.

Polda Metro Jaya stated that it had received an application for a crowd permit related to the 212 Reunion event. However, until now a permit has not been issued regarding the application.

"There has been a proposal (a letter) that was submitted to us on Thursday 18 November 2021," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Endra Zulpan.

The permit has not been given, said Zulpan, because the applicant has not completed several requirements. One of them is a letter of recommendation from the COVID-19 Task Force.

The recommendation letter is very important during the current pandemic. The goal is to prevent the spread of COVID-19. "One of them (requirements for the recommendation of the COVID-19 Task Force)," said Zulpan
