JAKARTA - Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) Nadiem Anwar Makarim said his party had prepared many programs to improve the quality of teachers in teaching students by 2022.

“All of our teachers throughout Indonesia, work because of their calling. Not for money, not just looking for a stable job. But really to serve. Ladies and gentlemen, please know, next year we will launch various programs for teachers," said Nadiem at the peak event for the 2021 National Teacher's Day, quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 25.

Nadiem explained, as a form of gratitude for the toughness of teaching teachers despite the COVID-19 pandemic, his party will not only provide Information and Communication Technology (ICT) assistance programs such as laptops and projectors, but will also open various technology platforms to assist teaching activities. the teachers.

It will also open various kinds of online training, which can be followed by teachers independently according to their abilities.

“This can be followed by teachers independently according to their abilities. It's not just learning practical theories from teachers for teachers," said Nadiem.

In addition, Kemendikbudristek will also offer a curriculum that is much more independent in teaching, which is currently in the pilot phase in several drive schools.

According to Nadiem, the curriculum that will be formed will be relevant and practical and can be easily understood by teachers because it is flexible so that teachers can adapt it according to the needs and abilities of their students.

The curriculum is also designed to provide opportunities for teachers to be creative and innovate so that the learning process will be much easier.

"So we are not changing the curriculum, but the curriculum that we are offering next year is a curriculum that gives teachers independence again," said Nadiem.

In addition, Nadiem also said that his party will continue to focus on ensuring that honorary teachers will get welfare through the recruitment of the PPPK selection exam (P3K).

Through this selection, he will ensure that all honorary teachers can take the test and can pass the formation to be able to improve the quality of the teachers even better.

“So many interesting things in the next year. Please wait and please be patient. But number one, please urge all department heads for face-to-face schools to be implemented immediately," he said.
