BKKBN, Adinkes, And HIPPG Award 12 Innovations To Prevent Stunting

JAKARTA - The National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) together with the Association of Indonesian Health Services (Adinkes) and The Habibie Institute for Public Policy and Governance (HIPPG) awarded Stunting Prevention Innovations to a number of parties.

In his remarks, Head of the BKKBN Hasto Wardoyo considered innovation to be important in accelerating the achievement of stunting reduction in Indonesia.

He hopes that there will be innovations that will produce a revolution in changing the way of thinking about reducing stunting in the regions.

"I am very happy with this opportunity because there are so many innovations that bring about change, namely changes to change the order, then there are new ways," said Hasto at the Innovation Prevent Stunting award event which was broadcast virtual, Thursday, November 25.

From this innovation, Hasto said he was optimistic that President Joko Widodo's mandate to reduce the stunting rate to 14 percent in 2024 would be achieved. He also hopes that this initiative will not only find winners, but will also increase breakthroughs in reducing stunting in the country.

"I hope that appreciation activities like this can be carried out periodically and I hope regional heads also carry out appreciation activities. Perhaps at the local, district/city, and provincial levels, give awards to those who have worked," said Hasto. .

Meanwhile, the Executive Director of HIPPG FIA UI, Widya Leksmanawati Habibie, explained that there were 185 participants who took part in the Prevent Stunting Innovation selection. The submission of this innovation proposal is spread across 95 regencies/cities in 26 provinces, with 6 categories to choose from.

Provinces that sent the most proposals from Central Java were with 31 proposals. The regency/city that sent the most proposals was from Kendari City with 13 proposals.

"All the submitted proposals are quite innovative and creative, so the jury team is very difficult to determine the best innovation. Based on the assessment criteria, 12 combinations will be selected that will get the best award," said Widya.

The following are the recipients of the Prevent Stunting Innovation award:

1. Community education category

- The main winner was awarded to Sumarji from Nganjuk Regency, East Java, with the innovation of Ceting E Abah Kolel.

- The second place winner was awarded to Karimatur Rizqi from Pekalongan, Central Java, with the Puspa Kuning innovation.

2. Categories of cross-sector collaboration

- The main winner was awarded to Sofiana Nur Khasanah from Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi, with Sehati innovation.

- The second place winner was awarded to the Regent of Malinau Wimpi W.Mawa from Malinau Regency, North Kalimantan, with the Stunting Action innovation.

3. Categories of use of information technology

- The main winner was awarded to Rosmala Nur from UNTAD Palu, Central Sulawesi, with Mom's Care innovation.

- The second place winner was awarded to Tuti Roswati from Sumedang, West Java, with the Simpati innovation.

4. Community empowerment category

- The main winner was awarded to Dedik Kurniawan from Malang Regency, East Java, with the Flash UKM innovation.

- The second place winner was awarded to Ramalis Subandi from Bandung Regency, West Java, with the innovation of Ruang Riung Ceria.

5. Category of local food processing

- The main winner was awarded to Suharmianti Mentari from Natuna Regency, Riau Islands, with the Gasing Permata innovation.

- The second place winner was awarded to Dwi Fajar Ulfa from North Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, with the Beting Manja innovation.

6. Other categories

- The main winner was awarded to Kamaria K. Lamanele from East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, with the Cart of Love innovation.

- The second place winner was awarded to Yuzak Totok Krido Saksono from Tolikara Regency, Papua, with the Nutritional Innovation of 1,000 HPK.
