JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Task Force confirms that the implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Level 3 during the Christmas and New Year periods is for mutual safety.

"The policies taken are solely to save human lives when there is a spike in cases, not only human lives are lost, but health facilities are dropped", said Member of the Mitigation Sub-Sector of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Falla Adinda, at the Merdeka Barat Forum 9 ( FMB 9) - KPCPEN with the theme "Alert and Stay Productive at the End of the Year" quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 23.

She conveyed that the increase in the PPKM level is not to kill one land or revive another, but aims to prevent human life from being lost again.

"We certainly hope that the case in July won't happen again, so the government takes preventive steps so that there are no crowds in the community", continued Falla.

Falla said an increase in cases would always occur if there was massive mobility in society.

"So as long as there is no movement of people, cases of infectious infections can be suppressed", she said.

In a pandemic situation, she conveyed, massive mobility in society will always increase the number of cases of infectious disease infections.

Therefore, the Task Force asked the local government to tighten supervision so that community mobility can be suppressed so that it does not become the next cluster.

According to Falla, the current pandemic situation is under control, with health facilities starting to carry out scheduled operations. "This rhythm should be maintained", she said.

He hopes that the government's decision to increase the PPKM level during the Christmas and New Year periods can be accepted by the community and implemented properly.
