BLBI Task Force Receives Rp150 Billion From Sjamsul Nursalim

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD, said the Task Force for Handling State Claims for the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance Fund (BLBI) received Rp150 billion from Sjamsul Nursalim. The obligor makes partial payments on its obligations.

"Obligor Sjamsul Nursalim, Bank Dewa Rutji on November 11, 17, and 18 have paid part of their obligations with a value of Rp 150 billion including administrative costs for managing state receivables by 10 percent," Mahfud said in a press conference broadcast on YouTube of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, RI, Monday, November 22.

Not only that, he also said the BLBI Task Force had received land with an area of about 100 hectares in Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi. Mahfud said this submission was part of the payment of obligations from the debtor of PT Lucky Star Navigation Corp.

Furthermore, the former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) said that the task force that had been formed would seek to recover state funds by confiscation of collateral and obligor assets. In addition, the assets obtained by the task force will be managed properly, one of which is by auctioning property assets that have been physically controlled. The assets to be auctioned are in Block B Taman Buah, Lippo Karawaci Housing, Kelapa Dua, Tangerang with an area of 37,779 square meters. .

"The government through the BLBI Task Force continues to remind obligors and debtors to fulfill their obligations by paying off debts to the state," said Mahfud.

"We also appreciate a number of obligors and debtors who have fulfilled the call of the BLBI Task Force and stated that they will also pay off their debts to obligors and debtors who have shown good faith by paying part of their obligations," concluded Mahfud.
