BOGOR - The Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force, West Java, stated that the development of vaccination for the elderly in the region has reached the minimum target to be able to reduce the PPKM level, which is 40 percent.
"Based on data from November 19, 2021, the achievement of vaccination for the elderly for the first dose has reached 43.35 percent," said Bogor Regent Ade Yasin as Head of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force in Cibinong, quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 21.
Bogor Regency had difficulty getting out of PPKM level 3 status because of problems with the achievement of vaccination for the elderly.
Ade Yasin said that a large number of people in his area was one of the obstacles to the implementation of vaccination. This is because the number of residents in Bogor Regency is recorded at the highest when compared to other cities/regencies in Indonesia, which is 5.4 million people.

Another obstacle is that Bogor Regency has a large area with 40 sub-districts, so the COVID-19 Task Force has difficulty reaching remote locations.
"We will continue to do it from house to house, we even carry out night vaccinations. Anyway, by all means, we will accelerate this vaccination," said Ade Yasin.
Currently, the first dose of vaccination in Bogor Regency has reached 63.23 percent or 2,671,983 people from the 4,225,790 target. Meanwhile, the second dose was only 1,910,242 people, or 45.2 percent of the target.
