Palikanci Toll Road Highway Patrol Unveils Case Of Police Chasing Drug Dealers Become Hit-and-Run Victims

CIREBON - Kanit VII PJR Palikanci-Pejagan Sat PJR Traffic Directorate of West Java Police Commissioner Adjutant of Police Aries Riyanto revealed the chronology of the hit-and-run incident that happened to police officers while chasing drug dealers at the rest area KM 208 B.

"The hit-and-run incident itself occurred on Saturday (20/11) at around 13:57 western Indonesia time," said Commissioner Adjutant of Police Aries in Cirebon, quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 21.

At the time of the incident, the atmosphere at the resting place of KM 208 B in the direction of Jakarta was quite crowded, considering that at that time many drivers were resting.

Commissioner Adjutant of Police Aries said the victim was a member of the police and informed that they were pursuing the perpetrators of the crime.

"We don't know much about the information. However, from the information we got, it was a police officer who was hit on duty," he said.

Aries said the police officer who was hit had serious leg injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver suspected of being the perpetrator fled outside the Ciperna toll gate, and his party could not help much because it was a silent operation.

"The driver who hit the police officer exited the Ciperna toll gate," he said.
