24 People Exposed To COVID-19, Bogor City Government Tightens Mobility Of Residents In Early December

JAKARTA - With the presence of a COVID-19 school cluster that occurred in 24 people consisting of 14 students and 10 teaching staff without symptoms, the City Government (Pemkot) of Bogor, West Java will tighten the mobility of its citizens in early December 2021,

Mayor Bima Arya said that tightening mobility could take the form of a policy of applying odd-even vehicle plates and the imposition of level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Home Affairs.

"This is in accordance with President Joko Widodo's appeal to be vigilant towards the end of the year because of the increased mobility of citizens ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays," said Bima.

Bima said that PPKM Level 3 would take effect from December 24 to January 2, 2022, in accordance with the central government's instructions.

Meanwhile, the Bogor City Police Chief, Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro asked 24 people who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 not to leave the house during the self-isolation period.

"Make sure they are not going anywhere, the local RT and RW are asked to monitor it," he said at Bogor City Hall.

It is known that face-to-face learning (PTM) is limited to SDN Sukapeace 2, which is located in Sukapeace Village, Tanah Sareal District, Bogor City, for 10 days.

This follows the finding of 24 positive cases of COVID-19 in students and educators at the school.

Previously, in the early days of limited PTM, five positive cases of COVID-19 had been found.

Then on Wednesday (17/11) screening was carried out through 50 PCR swab samples consisting of 29 students and 21 educators at SDN Sukapeace 2 by the Mekarwangi Health Center and examined by PCR at the Labkesda.

Laboratory results showed that 24 people were confirmed positive for COVID-19.
