JAKARTA - Chairman of the PSI DKI Jakarta Central Executive Board, Michael Victor Sianipar, explained that the budget allocation of IDR 2.7 billion was proposed in the 2022 DKI Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget draft for the 20th International Youth Forum.

The International Youth Forum 20 is organized by Indonesian Youth Diplomacy, chaired by Michael. Michael explained that this activity is one of a series of G20 events that will be held next year.

"This is actually a central government activity. So, the government has assigned various organizations to organize events with government support as well", Michael said when contacted, Friday, November 19.

Michael explained that the IDR 2.7 billion budget proposed in the 2022 DKI Draft Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget is a form of the DKI Provincial Government which is one of the hosts for the Indonesian Youth 20 event. Apart from Jakarta, this event was also held in Bandung, Palembang, Lombok, to Manokwari.

"So this is support from the local government for the success of the central government's event as well. Indeed, every place that is hosting this has been discussed related to how to support the implementation of the (central) government event", explained Michael.

"Essentially this is a state event", he added.

As is known, the DKI Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency has proposed a budget of IDR 2.7 billion to finance the activities of the 20th International Youth Forum which will be held next year.

This budget proposal is included in the youth competitiveness capacity development program of the DKI Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency which is included in the master document as input for the General Policy Priority Budget for the Provisional Budget Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) for the 2022 DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).

In the document, the budget is divided into several components for the needs of organizing events, ranging from equipment rental, stationery, guest banquets, to guest star fees.
