Police Will Repatriate Two Fugitives Caught In The US

JAKARTA - The National Police will repatriate two Indonesian bombs, Indra Budiman and Sai Ngo NG, who were caught in the United States (US). The repatriation process was carried out by exchanging US fugitive Marcus Beam who was caught in Bali.

Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Awi Setiyono, said the exchange of fugitives was the result of an agreement between the Indonesian Embassy in Washington DC's Police Attache and the US Marshall Service (US MS), a federal agency in America.

"The US Marshall Service is willing to help repatriate two Indonesian fugitives on behalf of Indra Budiman alias IB and Sai Ngo NG alias SNN in exchange for one fugitive US Marshall Service on behalf of Marcus Beam who is suspected of being in Indonesia," Awi told reporters, Wednesday, August 5.

With the cooperation agreement, the National Police, through Divhubinter, directly coordinated with, the Indonesian Embassy in the Police Washington DC Attache and the Bali Police.

With the fulfillment of the terms of the agreement, the Indonesian Police Divhubinter coordinates with the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Washington Texas, United States, Washington DC Police Attache, the United States of America, Ditreskrimum Polda Bali, Directorate General of International Law Authority Directorate General of General Law Administration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Directorate General of the United States and Europe, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Directorate of HPPK, the Directorate General of HPI, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, for the exchange of fugitives.

"The results (coordination) agreed to consider deportation steps with reciprocal guarantees from the United States government," said Awi.

The two Indonesian fugitives who were caught by US security at two different locations. Indra Budiman was arrested in California, meanwhile, Sai Ngo NG was arrested in Texas on October 31, 2019.

For your information, Indra Budiman is a fugitive in a fraud and money laundering case related to the sale of the Swiss-Bell Condotel in Kuta Bali. The fraud carried out with his colleagues was by creating a property consulting company, PT Royal Premier Internasional, which sells apartments and condotels for one billion rupiah.

Dozens of properties were sold, offered with gold investment and insurance programs, and the lure of a return on investment in the tenth and fifteenth years. Customers are also promised two percent cash back and luxury vehicle prizes.

They entered into a purchase contract on behalf of the victim, but never fully paid the customers' money. The victims were scattered in Jakarta, Bandung, Bali and Yogyakarta.

Meanwhile, Sai Ngo NG is a fugitive in a corruption case related to submitting 82 fictitious people's business loans (KUR) to Bank Jatim, Woltermongisidi Branch, Jakarta.
