Suspecting Sabotage In Tank Fire In Cilacap, PDIP Proposes To Hold National Insight Test For Pertamina Employees

JAKARTA - The head of the PDIP Faction, Dony Maryadi Oekon, demanded a national insight test for all employees, not just the directors of PT Pertamina. This follows their suspicion of sabotage in the Cilacap oil refinery fire that occurred last Saturday, November 13. "We also had discussions. We don't know if this is sabotage, what are certain groups doing? there is nothing wrong with doing a national insight test about ideology," said Dony in the DPR's PDIP Faction Room, Monday, November 15.

"Don't (only, red) directors, below that, they must have national insight, ideology, that's what we really demand," he continued. The PDIP faction itself has recorded that there have been 16 refinery fires since 2008. This year, three refinery fires have been recorded, first in Balongan, then in Cilacap, up to two times. Therefore, PDIP is not sure if the refinery fire in Cilacap was caused by a lightning strike.

Member of Commission VII DPR Adian Napitupulu also agreed that there is a possibility for a national insight test to be conducted to find out whether Pertamina's employees really care about the interests of the state.

"Yes, it's possible, why? We know that fuel is important. Anyone who wants to disturb a country, one of the things they do is sabotage fuel oil. If fuel is sabotaged, farmers can't bring their crops to the market, why? missing. Public transportation stops operating, our soldiers are hampered in their mobilization, crime happens everywhere, why? the police can't come to the markets, the fuel is gone, even our fighter planes are only in cages, "he explained.

"This means, given the extraordinary importance of BBM, when needed, the DPR makes it possible to request that other relevant agencies be involved based on investigations," said Adian.
