JAKARTA - The 3rd series of the Asia Talent Cup race at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has been postponed to next week in conjunction with the World Superbike event on November 19-21.

"Dorna Sport, together with the Mandalika Grand Prix Association, can confirm that the ATC season finale will consist of four races and take place from November 19-21, in conjunction with WSBK," the Asia Talent Cup official website said on Sunday, citing Antara.

The first ATC race at the Mandalika Circuit should have been held to test the readiness of the circuit and track facilities.

“The postponement of yesterday's ATC race certainly disappoints us, who are already in the middle of the arena. But for the safety of the racers, the ATC race has been postponed to next week in conjunction with the implementation of WSBK," said Zulkieflimansyah via his Instagram account, Monday, November 15.

The delay of the race or the race because the standards are not ready and the number of marshals is in accordance with the standard regulated provisions.

“But from the inputs that came from the marshals, the fault was not only with them but also with the organizers of the activities. Limited preparation and (lack) good communication with the organizers are considered as one of the main problems," continued Zulkieflimansyah.

“Their willingness to become marshals is not due to financial considerations but simply because they want to contribute and make history in our own place. There is a sense of pride to be able to take part in this extraordinary event," said Zulkieflimansyah.

"God willing, we promise to bridge our marshals with the event organizers in this case the MGPA so that misunderstandings can be cleared up and improvements can be made for the main events, namely WSBK and MotoGP," he added.
