In The Case Of Anji And Hadi Pranoto, The Police Summoned Two Experts

JAKARTA - The police will invite language and health experts in the process of investigating a case of allegedly spreading fake news with reported Hadi Pranoto and Erdian Aji Prihartanto alias Anji.

"Our plan is to summon two expert witnesses," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Wednesday, August 5.

According to him, the linguist will be asked for their opinion regarding the conversation between the two reported parties. So, later it can be determined whether there is a criminal element behind the report.

"Later we will examine expert witnesses, in this case a linguist, because they are suspected of spreading hoaxes," he said.

Meanwhile, the health experts who will be questioned come from the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI). Later, expert opinions will be heard regarding herbal medicines that are claimed to cure COVID-19.

Investigators have also sent letters of invitation to two experts to provide information since this morning. Later, after the examination is completed, the investigator will summon the reported parties.

"We will schedule it later after everything has been clarified, then we will invite HD and also the owner of the duniamanji YouTube account to call," concluded Yusri.

Hadi Pranoto and Erdian Aji Prihartanto alias Anji were officially reported to Polda Metro Jaya. They were reported by the General Chairperson of Cyber Indonesia, Muannas Alaidid, because they were thought to be spreading false news about claims for the COVID-19 antibody herbal medicine.

Hadi Pranoto and Anji reported under Articles 14 and 15 of Law Number 1 of 1946 and Article 28 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 45 A of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning the Law on Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE). The report has been registered under the number LP / 4538 / VIII / YAN.2.5 / 2020 / SPKT PMJ

This case began when Hadi Pranoto and Anji created video content discussing COVID-19 and uploaded it to YouTube. In the conversation, Hadi said that he had found a COVID-19 antibody herbal medicine.

In fact, his drug is claimed to be able to cure positive people with COVID-19 in a matter of 2-3 days. In addition, the drug is claimed to be distributed to a number of regions in Indonesia, such as Java, Bali and Sumatra.
