Refly Harun: KPK Don't Act As Auditor For Formula E Case, That's BPK's Territory

JAKARTA - Constitutional law expert Refly Harun advised the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to focus on investigating allegations of PCR test corruption involving individual ministers rather than cases of formula E. clearly visible", said Refly, quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 14.

Refly also requested that the KPK not act as an auditor in the Formula E case. This is because of the area of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

It is better, said Refly, that the KPK prioritizes investigating cases where it is clearer about allegations of state losses and who are the actors involved.

"This makes it seem as if the KPK is conducting an audit of activity, not investigating a corruption case. Regarding the audit, it's the BPK's domain, and as far as I know, BPK has conducted an audit and there are results", said Refly.

Refly also understands that the KPK certainly receives many public reports related to several cases or problems, both those that have indications of corruption or because of other factors. However, don't let the public think about Formula E.

"Don't let the public think that this is to target the Governor of DKI. I can't justify or blame, it's called public imagination, it can appear anytime and anything", he said.

He explained that politics is closely related to law enforcement. This can jeopardize the democratic process.

"Because political opponents can be eliminated by legal processes. Now the KPK can issue a warrant to stop the investigation (SP3). The KPK can at any time designate people as suspects, and then SP3. This is alleged speculation that I cannot justify and blame, We want 2024 to be a 'fair' presidential election", said Refly.
