From Next Monday, Operation Zebra Will Be Enforced

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya together with the Provincial Government (Pemprov) and the TNI will hold Operation Zebra Jaya. The operation will last for two weeks.

"So, for 14 days we will carry out Operation Zebra Jaya 2021, which will be carried out by Ditlantas, Dishub, Satpol PP, POM TNI AL and AU," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Friday, November 12.

Operation Zebra will begin on Monday, November 15. However, in later operations it will not be centered in one point. This is because the patrol pattern is carried out moving at a number of points prone to traffic violations that will be implemented.

"The target is because currently COVID-19 is still enforcing health protocols to disperse crowds and certain violations that have become a concern for examples of the use of sirens and rotators that are not in place," said Sambodo.

Locations and points prone to traffic violations that will be targeted by Zebra Operations include the South Jakarta area, on Jalan Fatmawati, Jalan Panglima Polim, and Jalan TB Simatupang.

Then, the East Jakarta area includes the East Flood Canal (BKT), Jalan DI Panjaitan, and Jalan Sutoyo.

West Jakarta areas such as Jalan S Parman, Roxy Grogol Petamburan, Jalan Daan Mogot. Then the Central Jakarta patrol area will be prioritized on Jalan Gunung Sahari.
