Video Of Police Crying For Fired Viral, Langkat North Sumatra Police Talk

MEDAN - A video of a police officer crying about himself being fired has gone viral on social media. The police officer named Bripka Abdul Tamba is known to be serving at the Langkat Police, North Sumatra.

In the video, the man can be seen recording her with her two children. She cried while hugging her two small children.

The man said she was recommended to be fired. In addition, the man also mentioned that his wife had remarried and his two children were abused by his wife in the police dormitory.

"This is nang (daughter/nicknames for girls in Medan) so you know, your mother is married, you were tortured in the police dormitory but the recommended father was fired, so you know nang", he said while hugging his two children in the video.

The man later admitted that he had no problem with his dismissal. He said he still has an inheritance from his parents.

"Even if you were forced to become a civilian, it doesn't matter, you have left your treasure behind. This is how it is", he said.

The video received a response from the Langkat Police. The Langkat Police Chief, AKBP Danu Pamungkas confirmed that the man in the video was a member.

AKBP Danu explained that the Langkat Police had conducted a code of ethics trial against Bripka Abdul. He was judged to have committed a violation by not attending the service for more than 30 consecutive working days.

"He did not enter without any notification or legal permission from his superiors", said AKBP Danu accompanied by Head of Propam Langkat Police, Iptu Zulkarnaen, Friday, November 12.

Against Bripka Abdul Tamba, said Danu violated Article 14 paragraph (1) letter (a) PPRI Number 1 of 2003 concerning the dismissal of members of the National Police in the form, members of the Indonesian National Police were dishonorably discharged from the Indonesian National Police if they left their duties within a period of more than 30 consecutive working days.

As well as Article 11 letter (e) of the National Police Chief's Regulation No. 14 of 2011 concerning the Police Professional Code of Ethics in the form of every member of the National Police is obliged to carry out state, institutional and social duties with sincere/sincere and correct intentions as a tangible manifestation of their worship.

For that matter, Bripka Abdul Tamba was recommended for Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH).

"Bripka Abdul Tamba has been trained repeatedly but has not shown awareness, so it is deemed unfit to be retained as a member of the National Police for further recommendations by PTDH", said Danu.

AKBP Danu also said that what was conveyed in the video was not true. Bripka Abdul did this only to get the public's attention.

He also denied that Bripka Abdul's wife had abused her two minor children as she conveyed in the video.

"Based on the results of the investigation by the Paminal Unit of the Professional and Security Division Police of Langkat Police, the person concerned often abused his children and his wife (wife of unregistered marriages) so that his wife ran away", he concluded.
