Criminal Investigation Unit Arrest Again Suspect Of Loans Whose Customers Suicide

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police arrested seven suspects in an illegal online loan network with the Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) mode. With the arrests, there were a total of 13 suspects.

This arrest is the development of an online loan case that claimed lives. This is because one of the customers, a resident of Wonogiri, Central Java, committed suicide because he had debts at the cooperative.

"There are seven, we add four. Then we add WJS, there are a total of 13 (because) we secured another one last night", said Head of Sub-Directorate IV Directorate of Special Economic Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Agency, Kombes Andri Sudarmadi, to reporters, Friday, November 12.

However, Andri was reluctant to detail the identities of the suspects who had been arrested. He only mentioned that of the several suspects arrested, one of them was a woman.

"Essentially the development of the entire network was arrested by one person. He was arrested on November 10", said Andri.

So far, the suspects are still being investigated intensively. Investigators will explore the role of each suspect.

Previously reported, the Criminal Investigation Police arrested a foreign citizen from China with the initials WJS at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. WJS is the main manager in illegal online loans with the savings and loan cooperative (KSP) mode.

The arrest of WJS took place at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport. At that time, the suspect would flee to Istanbul, Turkey.
