PCR Volunteers Appear, JoMan: We Don't Support Troubled Ministers

JAKARTA - Volunteers of Jokowi Mania (JoMan) asked volunteer groups and the public to be aware of the emergence of a problematic pro-minister volunteer movement. JoMan considered that the movement was a maneuver to divide Jokowi's supporters.

JoMan Chairman, Imanuel Ebenezer, stated that the emergence of these volunteers is a clear threat of polarization as a political design.

"All of us, including JoMan, are supporters of the president. So there is no need for us to support ministers with problems", said Imanuel in his statement, Thursday, November 11.

Noel, as he is known, asked all volunteers to unite and at the same time appealed that there should be no more support for ministers who do not take sides in the interests of the community.

According to Noel, the Jokowi administration only has 3 years left. Therefore, he said, the task of volunteers is to ensure that Jokowi's pro-people policies change Indonesia for the better.

"So ministers whose work is not good must be criticized. Moreover, those who have problems in several policies that only benefit their group", said Noel.

These 98 activists said that the task of volunteers is the minister's opposition or watchdogs to criticize ministerial policies that do not carry out the direction of the president's orders.

"So we are not defending the minister for instant interest. We are Jokowi volunteers, not pro ministers", he said.

Previously, the Love of the Republic Volunteers (PCR) declared support for the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and SOE minister Erick Thohir as a pair of presidential and vice-presidential candidates in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). In fact, both were rumored to be involved in the PCR procurement business.
