In Aceh There Is Corruption In The Procurement Of Ducks That Makes The State Overdrawn By Rp. 4.2 Billion

JAKARTA - Investigators from the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Aceh Police have arrested a suspect in a corruption case involving the procurement of ducks in Southeast Aceh Regency for the 2019 fiscal year with state losses reaching Rp4.2 billion.

Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Aceh Police, Kombes Pol Sony Sanjaya, said the suspect who was detained had the initials YP. The suspect is the executor of the procurement of ducks.

"Detention will be carried out for the next 20 days until the case file is declared P21 by the prosecutor's office. The detention can be extended," said Kombes Pol Sony Sanjaya, in Banda Aceh, Wednesday, November 10.

Kombes Sony Sonjaya said suspect YP acted as a field implementer in the duck procurement work at the Southeast Aceh Regency Agriculture Service for the 2019 budget year.

"The suspect YP used a company with the initials CV BD to procure the ducks. The state loss caused in the corruption case reached Rp4.2 billion," said Kombes Sony Sanjaya, quoted from Antara.

In addition to suspect YP, Aceh Police investigators have also detained two other suspects, namely AS and MH. They were the Head and Secretary of the Southeast Aceh Regency Agriculture Service when the duck procurement was carried out.

The Southeast Aceh District Government in 2019 allocated funds in the amount of Rp. 12.9 billion in the District Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBK).

The budget sourced from the general allocation fund (DAU) was used to procure 84,459 laying ducks which were distributed to 194 livestock groups, 500 each per group.
