Minister Of Health, Budi Gunadi, Urges The Public To Remain Vigilant And Not Ignore The Health Program To Prevent The Third Wave Of COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, expressed his hope that all people would remain vigilant and not be careless and ignore health protocols.

"The government has made efforts to tighten it and also encourage the involvement of the private sector to jointly prevent the third wave of COVID-19," said the Minister of Health in a press release, citing Antara, Tuesday, November 9.

Budi said support from the private sector, such as online motorcycle taxi applications, of course, aims to provide convenience for the community. Coupled with innovations and various promos from various applications that are integrated with the PeduliLindung application.

"I hope that people will obey the protocol for check-in and check-out. This official integration also maintains data security, because all data will be directly sent to PeduliLindungi," added Minister Budi.

Even though COVID-19 cases in Indonesia are currently low, Budi invites the entire community to learn from experiences in other countries that have experienced a spike in cases due to lax health protocols.

"We still have to strengthen 3T and 3M so that cases do not increase again, especially facing the year-end holiday period," said Budi.

Recently, several applications, including online motorcycle taxi applications and food delivery, collaborated with the PeduliLindung application, which is managed by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, as an effort to prevent a new wave of COVID-19 in Indonesia.

This integration is expected to make it easier for the public to access it and support the government's efforts to control the pandemic amid the current increase in mobility.

This integration will be implemented nationally, where users of online motorcycle taxi applications and food delivery orders throughout Indonesia can find the PeduliLindung tile on the application's home page. Users can access it and then scan barcodes at the locations they visit.
