JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appreciates the steps taken by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government which has submitted documents related to the implementation of the international Formula E racing event.

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said after the documents were received, his party would review and conduct a study.

"The Investigative Team will examine and review the document in detail and in depth to obtain information and data that is certainly needed in the process of investigating this case," Ali told reporters, Tuesday, November 9.

Although he will conduct a study and review, Ali has not explained further about the alleged corruption related to the electric car racing event. The cause is currently still under investigation.

"Currently, the KPK has not been able to convey it to the public considering that this case is still in the process of being investigated," said Ali.

Furthermore, Ali hopes that the DKI Provincial Government will continue to cooperate when called for further questioning and confirmation. "This is merely to expedite the legal process for the sake of justice and the clarity of a case," he stressed.

"We invite the public to continue to monitor and supervise the work of the KPK so that efforts to eradicate corruption have a real impact on the community," Ali added.

As previously reported, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Inspectorate Syaefulloh Hidayat and the President Director of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Widi Amanasto suddenly headed to the KPK's Red and White building on purpose today.

This subordinate of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, submitted a 600-page document related to the plan for the implementation of Formula E. This was intended to provide support for monitoring corruption prevention (MCP) efforts to the KPK leadership.

The document contains the approval process to the preparations needed by the KPK to obtain detailed and complete information in investigating allegations of corruption in the planned Formula E event.

"We are ready to cooperate fully in providing information and carrying out the Formula E implementation assignment in accordance with the corridors of good corporate governance, risk, and compliance, as mandated by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," said Widi in a written statement, Tuesday, November 9.

In submitting this document, Widi and Syaefuloh were accompanied by two KPK leaders for the 2011-2015 period, namely Bambang Widjojanto and Adnan Pandu Praja.
