Ganjar Gives Deadline For 7 Regions To Boost Vaccination In A Week

SEMARANG - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo gave a deadline of one week for seven regions whose vaccination achievement is still below 50 percent to increase their COVID-19 vaccination.

"There are five smallest areas for dose one, namely Banjarnegara, Tegal, Purbalingga, Pemalang and Wonosobo. If the area where the vaccination is less than 50 percent, there will be additional Jepara and Batang. The details of the vaccination achievements of the seven regions are Banjarnegara Regency (40.54 percent), Tegal Regency (44.09 percent), Purbalingga Regency (44.56 percent), Pemalang Regency (46.79 percent), Wonosobo Regency (47.20 percent). ), Jepara Regency (47.21 percent), and Batang Regency (48.84 percent).

Ganjar stated that there is no reason for all regions in Central Java not to accelerate vaccination because there have been enough deliveries of COVID-19 vaccines from the central government.

"Indeed yesterday the Pfizer type vaccine was sent a lot, but the syringe was a bit late so it couldn't be accelerated. I have communicated with the Minister of Health and have been given additional," he said after chairing the COVID-19 Handling Evaluation Meeting in Central Java.

In addition to accelerating vaccination, Ganjar also continues to remind all regional heads to check the expiration date of the COVID-19 vaccine.

"It is no longer allowed to have expired vaccines in Central Java. For Astrazeneca, we remind areas that can be allocated a lot, such as Magelang Regency. Beware of 'expired', don't let problems like last week happen, they will be redundant," added Ganjar.

If indeed there are areas that have received a lot of vaccines and the expiration period is near, said Ganjar, the local government must calculate whether they are able to complete it.

"Otherwise, I ask you to immediately raise your hand and the vaccine quota will be shifted to other areas that need it," said Ganjar.
