JAKARTA - The wife of the 5th National Police Chief for the period 1968 to 1971 General Hoegeng Imam Santoso, Meriyati Roeslani said the example of her late husband will be eternal and remembered by the public as well as their love for them.

"Hoegeng is long gone, but his example is eternal as is our love," he said through a short video that was shown at the launch of the book entitled "Dunia Hoegeng, 100 Years of Exemplary" in commemoration of Pak Hoegeng's 100 years written by senior journalist Farouk Arnaz in Jakarta , reported by Antara, Sunday, November 7th.

"I actually wanted to attend this special event which marks the 100th anniversary of my beloved husband. However, health and the pandemic have limited my movement," he said.

However, he admitted that he was still proud and happy with the launch of the book, especially when it was attended and represented by the children and great-grandchildren of the National Police Chief, General Hoegeng, who is known to often use ontel bicycles while on duty.
