TNI Commander Checks World Superbike Readiness In Mandalika

CENTRAL LOMBOK - TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo went directly to check the readiness for the implementation of the COVID-19 health protocol ahead of the World Superbike (WSBK) at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

"After we checked the vaccination achievement in NTB was 60 percent and in Central Lombok, which is the location of the race, the first dose had reached 80 percent and the second dose was 55 percent," he said.

The TNI commander also emphasized to all organizers, both local governments and the public as well as spectators, to continue to apply health protocols, even though COVID-19 cases in Indonesia have dropped.

Thus, there will be no spike in cases like in other countries, which is called the third wave. "Like PON in Papua, thanks to the cooperation and application of health protocols and the use of the PeduliLindung application, it is running safely and successfully," he said.

Therefore, the TNI Commander encourages the implementation of strict health protocols and the use of the PeduliLindung application in the implementation of the motorcycle race. In addition, all hotels and restaurants continue to apply health protocols and the PeduliLindung application.

"The PeduliLindung application must be run, so that this event can run safely," he said.

Meanwhile, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that the cooperation between the TNI and Polri, task force teams, local governments and volunteers involved in the vaccinator team as well as escorting the implementation of health protocols caused the current number of COVID-19 cases to be very good compared to before, so that Indonesia ranks first in Asia in the decline in COVID-19 cases according to the Nikkei Index.
