Heavy Rain In Jakarta, 21 RTs Are Flooded

JAKARTA - The DKI Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that 21 neighborhood units (RT) in Jakarta were flooded today as of 15:00 WIB.

Head of the DKI BPBD Data and Information Center, M. Insaf, said that the 21 RTs that were submerged were divided into several sub-districts. For example, 8 Kelurahan in South Jakarta consisting of 4 RT in Kelurahan Pondok Pinang with water levels up to 90 centimeters.

Then, 1 RT in Bintaro Village with a water level of up to 150 centimeters, 1 RT in North Petukangan Village with a height of 70 centimeters, and 1 RT in Cipete Village with a height of 50 centimeters.

"The reason is the overflow of the Pesanggrahan River," said Insaf in his statement, Sunday, November 7.

Water also flooded 1 RT in Gunung Village, South Jakarta as high as 50 centimeters. Where, the cause is the overflow of the Jelawe River

Furthermore, there were also 13 RTs in North Jakarta that were flooded. For example, 2 RTs in Penjaringan Sub-district and 11 RTs in Peluit Sub-District with water levels of 40 to 50 centimeters.

"The flood in 13 RT was caused by Rob's water," he said.

In general, continued Insaf, the proportion of floods in the capital city is currently 0.069 percent of the total 30,470 RTs.

"The inundation condition is being handled by the Local Kelurahan with PPSU, BPBD TRC Team, DSDA, Satpol PP, Tagana, and Disgulkarmat targeted to subside in a short time," said Insaf.
