JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 216,601 specimens were examined with the result that there were 518 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,247,320 people and 11,215 active cases", said Ministry of Health data, Friday, November 5.

Today's recovered cases increased by 518 cases, bringing the total to 4,092,586 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 19 people and a total of 143,519 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 119 cases and a total of 862,062 cases. Followed by West Java with 92 new cases with a total of 861,943 cases. Central Java with 57 new cases and a total of 485,429 cases. Meanwhile, East Java with 46 new cases and a total of 398,550 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to North Kalimantan with an additional 125 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 80 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 65 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 61 recovered cases.

There are five provinces that reported no new cases today, namely Jambi, Bengkulu, Gorontalo, Maluku and North Sulawesi. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 47,904,816.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 0.4 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 5,866 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 123,824,199 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 77,687,838 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 1,156,371. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
