Asked About Hadi Tjahjanto's Chance To Enter The Cabinet After Retiring As TNI Commander, Moeldoko: Wait

JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko asked the public not to speculate about the fate of TNI Commander Hadi Tjahjanto after retiring on November 8.

This was conveyed after the issue of Hadi's name being included in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet when President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) carried out a reshuffle or reshuffle.

"Ah, it's a matter of time. We can't answer yet", said Moeldoko to reporters, Friday, November 5.

He then explained that this kind of conversation had not happened. Moeldoko assessed that Hadi would take time to rest, as he did after retiring from the position of TNI Commander.

"I used to (take time, ed) 2.5 years of rest and it was quite comfortable for anyone after carrying out the task. I was 35 years of duty than had the opportunity of 2.5 years (rest, ed) and that meant for my family, for me alone to enjoy the time there is", he said.

"So you don't have to finish retirement to get a new position. I think what I felt at that time was very interesting because I could feel something different", added Moeldoko.

As previously reported, President Jokowi proposed one name, namely General Andika Perkasa, to replace Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto.

After the proposal, the palace, represented by the Minister of State Secretary, Pratikno, asked the Indonesia House of Representatives to immediately conduct a fit and proper test.

"On behalf of the government, we really hope that the Chairperson of the House of Representatives, the leadership of the House of Representatives, and all members of the House of Representatives can process it immediately and we really hope to get approval as soon as possible", said Pratikno at the House of Representatives building, Wednesday, November 3.

"So that the government can immediately issue a Presidential Decree and the President can immediately inaugurate a new TNI commander", he continued.
