Passengers At Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport Can Already Use Antigen Tests

BADUNG - The positive growth of passengers in October reached 98 percent, followed by 81 percent by aircraft at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.

This achievement is data on domestic air transport traffic coming and going, namely the comparison between the September and October 2021 periods.

In detail, passengers during October 2021 were 464,390 compared to September's passengers of only 234,939. Then 3,697 aircraft movements during October compared to 2,040 aircraft movements for September 2021.

"The positive growth of passengers and aircraft in October 2021 is also the most trending achievement in 2021," said General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, Herry AY Sikado, Wednesday, November 3.

There are also three routes of origin with the most in October, namely Jakarta with 136,529 passengers, Surabaya with 29,973 passengers, followed by Makassar with 16,173 passengers. Meanwhile, the three destinations have the highest number of 132,367 passengers to Jakarta, 29,426 passengers to Surabaya and 14,175 passengers to Makassar.

"I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, according to the recap of air transport traffic data, there is a growth of up to 98 percent of passengers in October 2021 compared to the previous month. Of course, we also focus on health protocols at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, so that passengers can fly healthy and safe, as an effort to anticipate the spread of COVID-19," said Herry.

"By synergizing with the KKP and airlines, all prospective passengers must have their health documents checked before leaving digitally, ensuring that the results of the COVID-19 test are fit to fly, this is very important considering the declining condition of COVIC-19, which we must maintain," explained Herry.

Currently, there are 10 PeduliLindung self-checking facilities and all health documents have been digitized. Passengers are advised to ensure that their health documents are integrated with the PeduliLindung application so that they do not experience problems at the airport.

In addition, as of November 3, prospective passengers who will fly can use the negative test results for antigens if they have been vaccinated with the second dose, while the PCR test results for passengers with the first dose vaccine.

"Hopefully, with the implementation of easier flight requirements at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali can further increase the number of tourists heading to the island of Bali, along with disciplined health protocols," said Herry.
