JAKARTA - The DKI DPRD and the DKI Provincial Government are discussing the deepening of the General Budget Policy and the Provisional Budget Ceiling Priority (KUA-PPAS) for the 2022 budget year.

This discussion was held at the Grand Cempaka Resort and Convention, Jalan Raya Puncak, Cipayung, Bogor, West Java.

Deputy Chairman of the DKI DPRD from the Gerindra faction, Mohamad Taufik, said that so far there is no budget component related to the implementation of Formula E proposed by the DKI Provincial Government.

"What is clear is that there is no budget for Formula E and it was not proposed (by the DKI Provincial Government)," said Taufik when met at the location, Wednesday, October 3.

Taufik ensured that the Formula E budget was not included in the budget proposal which was discussed in all DKI DPRD Commissions by all regional work units (SKPD) of the DKI Provincial Government.

If there is a budget proposal related to the implementation of Formula E which will be used in 2022, it will definitely be found out.

"Now it must be found out, because (the KUA-PPAS discussion) is in detail. The parent budget (Formula E) doesn't exist anymore. If the parent doesn't exist, then let it go (from the APBD)," said Taufik.

For information, Jakarta will officially host Formula E on June 4, 2022. This decision was made through the FIA World Motor Sport Council in Paris, on October 15, 2021, which at the same time ratified the 8th season racing calendar for 2021/2022.

The DKI Provincial Government has emphasized that the cost of implementing Formula E will no longer use the DKI Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). This answers the refusal of a number of DPRD factions to ratify the Formula E budget if it is included in the APBD discussion.

"There are no additional costs from the APBD for the implementation of Formula E, both for the commitment fee and the costs for the implementation of 2022, 2023 and 2024," wrote the statement from the DKI Provincial Government.

The DKI Provincial Government emphasized that the commitment fee payment that was charged from the DKI APBD was only made from the 2019 APBD. After the pandemic, the annual commitment fee payment was no longer paid.

Because, PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) BUMD will hold Formula E purely business to business (B to B) using sponsor funds.

Responding to this, the PDIP and PSI factions of the DKI DPRD admitted that their parties would closely observe every discussion of the DKI budget that contains components of the implementation of Formula E.
