West Kalimantan Provincial Government Budgeted IDR 5 Billion For MTQ XXIX Held In Sintang On November 24-30

JAKARTA - The West Kalimantan Provincial Government has budgeted IDR 5 billion for the implementation of the XXIX Musabaqoh Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) West Kalimantan which will be centered in Sintang on November 24-30 2021.

"The funds must be accounted for by applicable regulations. The use of the funds must be by the text in the signed grant agreement", said Assistant for Government and People's Welfare at the Regional Secretariat of West Kalimantan Province, Linda Purnama, after visiting Sintang, Wednesday, November 3.

Linda said that the IDR 5 billion budget was a grant sourced from the West Kalimantan Provincial Budget.

According to her, the grant fund accountability report will be submitted to the Welfare Bureau of the West Kalimantan Provincial Secretariat, no later than December 31, 2021.

"The funds are a mandate from the Governor, I believe that the accountability of the grant funds can be carried out as well as possible", said Linda.

She also reminded, in the preparation and implementation of the upcoming MTQ, they really pay attention to health protocols.

Linda did not even want there to be a new cluster of COVID-19 distribution during the MTQ implementation which will be followed by all districts and cities in the West Kalimantan region.

"We pray that everyone is healthy. All participants or caravans must have been vaccinated and brought a negative PCR test result", said Linda.

Meanwhile, the General Chair of the West Kalimantan Province Tilawatil Qur'an Development Institute (LPTQ), Brigadier General Pol (Ret.) H Andi Musa, also emphasized the use of the MTQ budget to be careful.

"Funds intended for the implementation of MTQ must be managed properly and correctly. The use of finance must be disciplined, every rupiah issued must have a financial accountability document and have evidence. To manage it well", said Andi Musa.
