COVID-19 Update As Of November 2: 612 New Cases From Examination Of 255,564 Specimens

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 255,564 specimens were examined with the result that there were 612 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,245,373 people and active cases are 1,629 cases", according to data from the Ministry of Health, Tuesday, November 2.

Today's recovered cases increased by 866 cases, bringing the total to 4,090,287 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 34 people and a total of 143,457 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 77 cases and a total of 861,700 cases. Followed by West Java with 75 new cases with a total of 485,240 cases. East Java has 74 new cases and a total of 398,380 cases. Then, Central Java with 65 new cases and a total of 485,240 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to North Sulawesi with an additional 143 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 124 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 100 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 69 recovered cases.

2 provinces reported no new cases today, namely Gorontalo and Maluku. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 47,185,852.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.40 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 8,769 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 120,887,847 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 74,805.667 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 1,142,465. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
