The four perpetrators of the ATM burglary are Firnando (20) and Ihsan alias San (45), both residents of Tanggamus Bandar Lampung, Irhamudin alias Irham (38) and Ibnu Amirullah (27), both residents of Cikupa Tangeran Banten.

"Three of the four perpetrators are recidivists of the same case in West Java and Jakarta. The perpetrator Firnando is not a recidivist," said Surakarta Police Chief Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 2.

Four perpetrators broke into BRI's ATM machines in Solo, seven places with losses reaching Rp. 239 million and at ATMs owned by Mandiri there were five points with losses reaching Rp. 22 million.

The police received a report of a criminal case of theft from an injured bank on October 19, 2021 with the incident at the BRI ATM on Jalan Abdul Rahman Saleh.

The police immediately carried out an investigation into Operation Brush Jaran Candi 2021 and arrested the perpetrators at the boarding house of Gayam Village, Sukoharjo District, on Monday, October 25. The perpetrator was immediately taken to the Surakarta Police Headquarters for examination.

The perpetrators usually commit crimes of breaking into ATM machines in secluded places such as public gas stations (SPBU) in the Solo area.

For the actions of the four perpetrators of the crime of breaking into ATM machines, they can be charged with Article 363 5e and 4e of the Criminal Code, concerning the Crime of Theft. It carries a maximum prison sentence of seven years.
