2 RHUs In Surabaya Violate Operational Hours Rules Get Warning From Satpol PP

SURABAYA - Two public entertainment recreation areas (RHU) in the city of Surabaya violate the predetermined operating hours, which are required to close at 24.00 WIB.

The head of the Surabaya City Satpol PP, Eddy Christijanto, said that strict action would be taken if the two RHUs repeated violating the rules set by the Surabaya City Government.

This is as regulated in Perwali Number 67 of 2020 which has been amended in Perwali Number 10 of 2021 and the regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 53 of 2021.

"I summoned both of them. We check whether the permits are complete or not and whether they have signed an integrity pact. I also convey that they are orderly and disciplined, because this is the last warning," said Eddy, confirmed, Tuesday, November 2.

Eddy reminded the owner or manager of RHU to comply with the existing rules. Because, if the RHU can be orderly, the Surabaya City Government will make another policy, by extending operating hours as the Covid-19 case slopes down.

"If the operational hours are still over, don't blame the Satpol PP for closing, including revoking the permit. Since the city government has given the freedom to open until 24.00 WIB, please obey it," he said.

Eddy also reminded the importance of discipline in maintaining health protocols (prokes). According to him, the responsibility of the current health program is not only the task of the TNI/Polri and the government, but also the role of the RHU owners and the community.

"So don't let there be negligence from the RHU owners and other entrepreneurs. If you level up, the impact will definitely be on you (RHU) and your employees, as well as other entrepreneurs," he said.

Eddy ensured that the Surabaya City Satpol PP would conduct regular monitoring and supervision of the RHU. Starting from the process, operating hours, to the capacity in the RHU.

"If anyone is caught violating the law, we will take strict action and we will close and revoke the permit," he said.
