Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer, Democrats For KLB Invite The Community To Pray For SBY's Healing

JAKARTA - The 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Currently, the Speaker of the Democratic Party's Upper House is reported to have traveled to the United States for medical treatment. Hearing the news, the Democrats of the Deli Serdang KLB camp prayed for SBY's recovery.

"We and Pak Moeldoko pray that Allah SWT will give Pak SBY health and a long life," said the spokesman for the KLB camp, Muhammad Rahmad, Tuesday, November 2.

The Democrat leader of KLB Moeldoko, said Rahmad, also appealed to the Indonesian people to pray for SBY's speedy recovery.

"Pak Moeldoko also appealed to the Indonesian people to pray for the recovery of Pak SBY," he said.

Previously, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was rumored to be undergoing health treatment abroad because he was said to be suffering from prostate cancer. SBY's prostate cancer is still in its early stages.

The Personal Staff of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ossy Dermawan, said that the medical treatment will be carried out at a foreign hospital specifically dealing with prostate cancer. SBY, he said, had also contacted President Joko Widodo regarding his treatment plan abroad.

"In accordance with the ethics and manners adopted by Mr. SBY, he has called Mr. President Jokowi to report plans for treatment abroad," Ossy told reporters, Tuesday, November 2.

The president, he continued, also sent a team of palace doctors to accompany SBY for treatment.

"President Jokowi gave a good response and said that one or two members of the Presidential Doctors Team would assist in the treatment," said Ossy.

Not mentioning that the former chairman of the Democrat Party's health has declined, Ossy said that so far SBY has continued to carry out daily activities, such as waiting for Lavani's volleyball club to practice, paint, read and write, exercise and other activities.

"Mr. SBY asks for prayers from his friends in particular and the Indonesian people in general so that the medical treatment carried out can run well," said Ossy.
