JAKARTA - The Facebook account @Sultan Snow recently caused a stir by uploading a portrait of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Bsswedan. In the photo, Anies can be seen sitting while reading a book with a black cover with the title, '101 ways of ngeles.'

Reporting from the turnbackhoax page, the Sultan's account uploaded the photo on October 24 at around 08.03. Warganet also wonders, is this photo true?

After being searched on Anies Baswedan's official Instagram account, an original photo was found in one of the posts uploaded on November 21, 2020.

In the picture of the post, Anies is seen sitting reading a book. The image is the same as the Facebook post image, but the original image of the cover of the book Anies is reading reads "HOW DEMOCRACIES DIE".

"A similar hoax in the form of edits to the cover of the book that Anies was reading also happened in January 2020. Launching from turnbackhoax.id the original cover of the book that reads "ANTI BAPER BOOK" was edited to become "GUIDELINES FOR MENATA KAYA."

Thus the image of the Snow Sultan's Facebook post is incorrect.

"The image has been edited on the cover of the book that Anies is reading so that it is included in the manipulated content category," said the turnback hoax.
