This Former Melly Goeslaw Duet Partner Releases The Single Song Fly The Airplane

JAKARTA - After releasing Sudah, Keklah, his third single song with Alika, Rama Davis is now continuing his existence in the Indonesian music industry with his newest single, Fly The Airplane.

The singer, who started her career with Melly Goeslaw in the soundtrack of the film Ei ff el..I ”m In Love 2, has now decided to make a song in English to cover a wider audience.

Fly The Airplane was created and produced by Rama Davis and arranged by Raynaldo Wijaya. Initially, Rama admitted that this song was not for release and was only for personal satisfaction. But after being played to Raynaldo and Tirta Leonardi, the guitarist, they released it.

This song likens Airplane to the life journey of someone Rama loves, who must keep going with the presence or absence of him or her. This song was also written by Rama on the plane, therefore Rama was inspired to use the plane as an appropriate metaphor.

Through this song, Rama wants to convey a message that is broader than just a love story. Rama hopes that the listeners can have their own interpretations, especially in the process of giving up something in life, and no matter what the situation is, life must continue.

Rama wants to treat listeners who may still have a feeling of dissatisfaction with something in the past, through the 'Paper Plane' campaign.

In this campaign, Rama invited listeners to write down his outpouring on a piece of paper which would then be folded into a paper airplane. Rama thought, to help the process of letting go of something that could not be conveyed in the past, maybe it should be poured out with something concrete or symbolic like this.

Rama started singing seriously when he joined the choir at SMAN 78, Jakarta, where he attended school. He holds the trust as the head of the 78 Youth Choir choir, and with his team they have won several international awards.

It is noteworthy that this choir brought home a gold medal for Indonesia when competing in the A Voyage of Songs event in China, Canta Al mar in Spain and the ITB Bandung Choir Festival in Bandung.

A series of achievements that he has made, making this April 12 1993 birth even more determined to continue his musical spirit by making covers of famous songs and then displaying them on his SoundCloud and YouTube pages where he received many positive responses. In early 2018, it became a bright spot for Rama in his singing career when Melly Goeslaw was chosen to be his duet partner as the soundtrack for the film Ei ff el… I'm In Love 2.

This single was also nominated for the Best Original Soundtrack Song at the Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) Awards, as well as the Dahsyat Awards. Continuing his passion in music, after that Rama succeeded in releasing his own work entitled Friends, Long Years, and Already, Never mind.
