Grab Gandeng AION, Model Y Plus Becomes A Premium Online Public Transportation Fleet

JAKARTA - AION Indonesia is exploring cooperation with Grab Indonesia, as an online public transportation service in the country. In this partnership, the Y Plus model was chosen as the main fleet for premium services (Grab).

The Grab Premium service with this electric car fleet will start operating in December 2024, and exclusively at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang Banten.

CEO of AION Indonesia Andry Ciu, revealed that the selection of the AION Y Plus model as a Grab Premium fleet is a strategic step, as well as the company's commitment to the use of renewable energy in the Indonesian transportation sector.

"As an electric vehicle with cutting-edge technology, AION Y Plus not only offers comfort and high performance but is also an environmentally friendly solution that is relevant to today's needs," he said, in an official statement received on Friday, December 27.

As is known, this electric car offers high energy efficiency because it is embedded with its magazine battery 2.0 technology, which can provide a distance of up to 490 km in one charge. This is claimed to support Grab's vision of sustainability to reduce carbon emissions in the transportation sector.

This car is also equipped with various modern features such as smart screens, a robotic panoramic, and a cutting-edge entertainment system, which can improve comfort and provide a premium driving experience for passengers.

In terms of safety, this car is equipped with electronic stability control (ESC) and an anti-lock braking system (ABS) that ensures passenger safety during the trip. In addition, this car is equipped with an ADiGO Pilot (AION Digital Intelligent Gateway and Operation), a state-of-the-art system that utilizes radar sensors and cameras to assist drivers in driving.
