JAKARTA - Even though the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing, this has not stopped the Jonas Brothers from releasing a work. They launched the music video for song X with Karol G on Tuesday, May 19. Different from the usual concept, the Jonas Brothers appear separately from each other.

X is a Latin pop track that mixes English and Spanish. This song reveals someone's jealousy towards their partner who looks intimate with their ex-boyfriend.

Throughout the music video, the Jonas Brothers and Karol G dance together but are separated by the iPhone screen. Maybe this is one of their ways to practice social distancing but it is still fun in producing works.

Reporting from his Twitter account, all shooting in the X music video is directed by the director only using the Zoom application. Jonas Brother is doing self-quarantine at home while Karol G is in quarantine with his lover, Anuel AA.

Track X was produced by the Jonas Brothers with Ryan Tedder of One Republic. The song is included in a two-track bundle from the Jonas Brothers which was released on May 15th. Besides X there is a song called Five More Minutes. The art cover that was released also bears the XV logo which means two tracks, X and Five More Minutes.

Previously, these two songs have been performed on various occasions. X is featured in the credit for the Jonas Brothers documentary Happiness Continues. Meanwhile, Five More Minutes was shown at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

This work is the Jonas Brothers' newest project after they canceled their appearance at Park MGM last April due to the pandemic. Songs X and Five More Minutes can be listened to through digital music streaming services. Watch the X music video below:
