Britney Spears' family focuses on her mental health after driving while drunk

JAKARTA - The world's pop star from the United States, Britney Spears, is reported to have to deal with the authorities on Wednesday, March 4 at night local time.

The "Toxic" singer was arrested by police in Ventura County, California, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

According to an official report from the California Highway Patrol, Spears was handcuffed at around 9:30 p.m. and only underwent the administrative process of detention on Thursday morning at around 3 a.m. local time.

Britney Spears' representatives did not deny the news and gave an official statement regarding the incident that tarnished the image of the diva.

"This is a regrettable incident that can never be forgiven. Britney will take the appropriate steps and comply with the law," said Britney Spears' representative, quoted by Variety, Friday, March 6.

"Hopefully this can be the first step for the long-overdue changes that need to happen in Britney's life," he continued.

The management also added that Spears' family and closest people are making plans for the singer's well-being so that he gets the support he needs in this difficult time.

Britney has now been released from custody on bail, but she is scheduled to stand trial on May 4 for her actions.

For information, this case adds to the long list of personal challenges faced by the star since the last time he released the album "Glory" in 2016 and performed live in Austin, Texas, in 2018.

The incident occurred in the midst of Spears' "hiatus" from the American music scene.

Since leaving the conservatory for 13 years in 2021, Spears has tended to hide from the camera. In an Instagram post that has now been deleted, he had stated that he would never perform again in the United States for very sensitive reasons.
