JAKARTA - The Chasmala is back to greet the Indonesian music industry by releasing the latest single titled Cinta Tapi Terluka.

Taking a perspective relevant to the dynamics of today's romance, this song dissects the bitter reality behind unhealthy or popular relationships with the term toxic relationship.

Through the touch of the arrangement, The Chasmala tries to describe the inner turmoil between deep love and the reality that the gaping wound can no longer be tolerated.

This work was born from Irfan Chasmala (keyboards), which was then perfected with Pieter Anroputra (vocals) and Denny Chasmala (guitars). The creative process is also solid with the involvement of Ade Govinda as a producer.

Irfan Chasmala revealed that the inspiration for this song came from the real story of his best friend, so that the message conveyed felt very real and close to anyone who has ever been caught in a dilemma between staying or letting go.

"Hopefully this will be a lesson that with wounds people can become even stronger," said Irfan in his statement, Thursday, January 22.

The process of making this song was short but intense, where Irfan only needed three days to complete the basic melody and lyrics, before finally being welcomed by Ade Govinda.

Musically, Ade highlighted the uniqueness of the rhythm in this song which gives the impression of being old. According to him, this song has a taste that sounds antique, like music from the 1960s or 1970s, where Pieter is considered able to adapt very quickly to the desired atmosphere, so that the life of the song becomes very felt.

Interestingly, in this single, Pieter not only fills the vocal department, but also shows off as a drummer - a new exploration that gives a different color compared to The Chasmala's previous works.

The song, which also involves supporting musicians such as Rishanda Singgih (bass) and Meltho Pasto (vocal director), is expected to have a positive impact on its listeners.

Denny expressed his hope that this song would be liked by the public, get a good number of streams on digital platforms, and soon be able to be performed live on stage.
