JAKARTA - After celebrating the two decades of the release of "Bersedia Teman" last July, Closehead again greeted his loyal listeners with a new single titled "Arti Yang Sama".

The song, which was released under 301 Entertainment, is not just a routine release, but a sign of courage for the exploration of new music for Lamlan (vocals, bass), Praz Teguh (guitar, vocals), Saprol (guitar), Tyo (keyboards, vocals), and Ijan (drums).

If all this time the Closehead discography is attached to the identity of an energyful music, guitar distortion, and the fast tempo, "Arti Yang Sama" is present as a contrasting anomaly in winning noisy sound that is characteristic and chooses a light and flowing acoustic ballad arrangement.

The Arti Yang Sama was written with Ijan and Tyo, who said that the main inspiration for this song was born from a strong desire to create a work that honestly reflected the most pure form of love.

"I really want to write an honest song, until I finally remember the figure of a mother. For me, there is no love and love that is more complete than the love of a mother to her child," said Ijan in his statement, Friday, December 12.

"So, I decided to dedicate this song to them," added the drummer, dedicating Closehead's latest work specifically to the figure of the mother.

The selection of the ballad format is so far from Closehead's musical style is not without consideration. Tyo explained that the arrangement approach was consciously chosen to accommodate and strengthen the depth of the message contained in song lyrics.

"Initially, we had doubts about choosing a ballad, but in the end we realized that there was no more appropriate arrangement to convey the message of this song than the format," said Tyo.

To further strengthen emotional nuances in the song, Closehead collaborated with Ari Firman (The Groove) to mix string sections.
