JAKARTA - Playing in Cipete celebrates their one year journey which routinely holds music shows every week. On Monday night, November 24 at Casatopia Cafe, Cipete, South Jakarta, the first anniversary was enlivened by the performances of Dendi Nata, Aldy Amis and Akuje.

The Play-Play program at Cipete initiated by Reallist Management initiated by Eno Suratno Wongsodimedjo. Since it was first held at the end of 2024, this program has become an alternative space for independent musicians to display their work directly to the public.

In a period of one year, more than a hundred musicians from various cities in Indonesia and several from Malaysia have appeared on the Casatopia stage.

Celebrating her first anniversary, Eno Suratno Wongsodimedjo said that this event aims to provide an open expression space for musicians across genres.

"Playing in Cipete is a space where musicians can perform without limits, without tension, and with the spirit of cross-background collaboration," said Eno in a written broadcast, November 26.

"This stage was made with great hope that musicians who grew up in Indonesia could get a place in big events, so they could dismiss the assumption that the music festival is line up," he added.

Dendi Nata opened this lively stage with a number of widely known songs among alternative pop music listeners, such as "Forever" and "Delinecated". Dendi is known as a soloist from Semarang who carries the style of writing personal lyrics with minimalist arrangements.

Appearance continued by Akujeje, an experimental musician who had attracted public attention through a reinterpretation of children's songs "See Gardenku" in the adult version. In the celebration, he performed songs from his latest releases, including Later Months' and "Dansaria"

In closing, Aldy Amis performed with a number of songs from the albums "Filosophy Males" and "Complication Albums". Aldy is known as a folk musician who raises social issues through critical lyrics, such as in the songs "Judik Emergency", "Local Wisdumb", to the latest single entitled "Lapor Mas Vice President".

In addition to music performances, the show also features interactive sessions with all audiences. A number of promoters from various music festivals were invited to interact with the musicians who attended.

"I want tonight to be a network event. Hopefully this event will give birth to collaborations with each other," said Eno.

Casatopia Cafe, as a permanent location for organizing events, has received appreciation for its support for the independent music ecosystem.

This celebration marks the organizers' commitment to continue to present inclusive and sustainable performance spaces for local musicians. Playing in Cipete is scheduled to continue every week in a consistent and open format for various forms of musical expressions.
