JAKARTA - Queen guitarist Brian May admitted that she was very interested in the idea of organizing a hologram show featuring Queen's full formation.
May, who is currently active with Roger Taylor (drums) and Adam Lambert (vocals), admits that the idea of bringing back the entire members including the late Freddie Mercury and John way in virtual form is something very interesting.

"Freddie is still alive through the music we listen to all the time. In a sense, John is also still with us in the same way. However, now we have so many other opportunities," May said in a recent interview with Big Issue.
"I mean, immersive things, like The Sphere in Las Vegas, will allow to give people a very close experience of what it would be like for us when we were Freddie, John, Brian, and Roger."
May said she had long used technology to engage Freddie in Queen's current show, especially when performing the song Love of My Life, where the deceased appeared at the end via video.
He believes that this concept can still be developed much bigger. Regarding the possible hologram performance format, May stressed that this is not just playing old records.
"It's not just going to play old recordings or something like that. It will create Queen as if we created her today," he said. "I'm very interested in the idea that we can become an original Queen again.
In contrast to May's enthusiasm, Roger Taylor did not seem to agree with the idea. Although he admitted to having fun and enjoying the ABBA Voyage show A concert featuring a hologram version of the Swedish group Taylor is not entirely sure about the quality of his appearance. However, he realized that technology had been much more advanced since the first ABBA show was held in 2022.
"I don't think projections are actually very convincing. I'm sure technology is now much more advanced since ABBA's performance began, I think more things can be done," Taylor said.
Meanwhile, this virtual comeback idea itself was driven by the retrospection process carried out by May when reworking on Queen's old catalog.
"It was just one of the ideas in my head, and I think it was triggered by a re-release work, because we have fully reconstructed Queen I, and we are working on Queen II," May said.
"It's almost ready to be re-released, and it's great fun to feel the excitement of the creativity we had at that time. It's so complex. Queen II is more complex than Bohemian Rhapsody," he added.
Interestingly, the guitarist's idea marked a change in attitude. Previously, he had stated that he did not want Queen's hologram version before all the band's original members died.
