The Indies Express Fans' Role In Its Music Career Travel

JAKARTA - Baskara Putra, the figure behind the name Indies, revealed how much fans mean to his musical journey, whether as a soloist, or as a member of the .Feast and Magic Contest.

For Baskara, those who hear the music have given meaning to the journey of the music.

Those who listen to the Indies, listeners .Feast, it was for me who gave me api to keep going, which gave meaning to what I did too what we did, said Baskara in Kuningan, South Jakarta recently.

"If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be here. If it weren't for them either, maybe we don't know why we did what we did," he continued.

Furthermore, Baskara also talked about his works that were admired by young listeners from Gen Z.

The 31-year-old singer said she never interpreted writing songs for certain groups.

"I don't feel, 'Oh, I'm writing for Gen Z.' No. Because what I wrote, yes, what I feel, what the people closest to me feel, what we feel as a group too," he said.

"So, nothing at all, (work) the goal is specifically to write something for certain age groups or demographics," he continued.

However, Baskara said that he, who came from the millennial generation, had close association with young Gen Z.

"Maybe because in my life there are still a lot of Gen Z people," he said.

"Incidentally, I'm still very close to that generation, although I'm also technically not Gen Z. I'm late millennials almost Gen Z, and yes, I've never had the tension to go that way," concluded Baskara.
