Light Ministry Orchestra Appearance And Menbud Hope At World Children's Day Moments

The Indonesian Ministry of Culture held an orchestral performance featuring the Light Ministry Orchestra (LMO). This event was held to commemorate World Children's Day which took place at Plaza Insan Berprestasi, Jakarta, Thursday, November 20.

The 30-minute appearance of the orchestra was led directly by Musician Addie MS and opened with Indonesia Raya, followed by La Nozze repertoars in totaling, Fruhlingsstimmen, Swan Lake Theme, Hungaryn Dance, Belle of the Ball, to Pirates of the Caribbean.

Minister of Culture Fadli Zon emphasized that the government is committed to strengthening the national music ecosystem, including classical music and orchestra. "We hope that all music and talent genres can be synergized into the national talent management program," he said.

LMO is a music community formed by three young people 'Edmund Lucius, Celine Handoko, and Maddison Kurniawan' who have been running for more than three years. They considered LMO not only a musical space, but also a forum for the formation of characters and empowerment of the younger generation.

Addie MS added that LMO is built as an inclusive space for children from various backgrounds. It's not just about music, but about building acceptance, empathy, and togetherness," he said.

Fadli Zon emphasized the need for an expansion of the music program so that this sector contributes more to the cultural economy and the creative industry. The activity was also attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Culture Bambang Wibawarta, the Director General of Promotional and Cultural Cooperation Endah TD Retnoastuti, and other line of ministry officials.
