After 13 Years, HYDE Appears Again In Jakarta With A Spectacle Stage Action

JAKARTA - HYDE's appearance in Jakarta has again proven why he is referred to as a true stage icon. With the characteristics of a theatrical visual and a strong mysterious aura, the legendary Japanese vocalist presents an intense, dramatic, and stunning concert experience.

Every element of performance from lighting to costumes appears designed to describe the artistic character of HYDE which always combines music, art, and emotion on one magnificent stage.

Japanese singer Hideto Takarai, or better known as the HYDE mononimous, appeared in Jakarta on Saturday (1/11) night. This is his first concert in Indonesia after the last time he came in 2012.

The concert titled HYDE [INSIDE] LIVE 2025 WORLD TOUR' which was held at the Senayan Tennis Indoor opened with a feel of the red and black stages typical of him. In the middle of the stage, a large coffin is a dramatic symbol that later became the venue for the musician's appearance.

HYDE, also known as the vocalist of the legendary band L'Arc-En-Ciel, emerged from above the coffin wearing black clothes and a mask covering part of his face.

He opened a concert with the song LET IT Out from his latest album HYDE [INSIDE] 2024, followed by other new songs such as I GOT 666, SOCIAL VIRUS, to LAST SONG. Not to forget, HYDE also pampers old fans with the song HONEY from L'Arc-En-Ciel and DEVIL SIDE from its band project, VAMPS.

In the midst of burning energy, HYDE had time to interact directly with fans using Indonesian. He admitted that he was impressed by the extraordinary enthusiasm of the audiences who packed the venue.

"It's amazing. It's amazing. you guys... what are you? You guys... crazy. I'm happy to meet you guys, thank you very much. Thank you very much. Great, I love you guys," said HYDE.

The excitement became even more complicated when HYDE performed the song 'MUGEN', the result of his collaboration with MY FIRST STORY which was also the opening song for the anime Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc.

Not only singing, but HYDE also returned to greet the audience with a short story about his experience in Indonesia. With his distinctive friendly and spontaneous style, he expressed his penchant for the Nusantara culinary.

"I eat rendang, the number 1 food in the world. It's really delicious. I like it, I like it. It's very spicy, it's very spicy. I want to eat more rendang," he said.

Towards the end of the show, HYDE and the personnel had left the stage, making the room dark instantly. The audience immediately shouted "encore!" asking for additional performances.

Minutes later, the atmosphere broke again when HYDE appeared among the audience carrying a water gun, firing it at the crowd while performing the song 'PANDORA.' The unexpected action made fans cheer hysterically. He even walked around the podium while still singing and greeting fans in the stands.

After returning to the stage with its personnel, HYDE closed the spectacular night with two energy-packed songs, 'GLAMOROUS SKY' and 'SEX BLOOD ROCK N ROLL.'

The HYDE [INSIDE] LIVE 2025 WORLD TOUR Concert in Jakarta is its special appearance after 13 years, as well as the only city in Southeast Asia he visited on this year's world tour.
